Lizzy's Lil Craft Corner

Not only is she a cute witch she is a useful witch!

Create these lil' dolls for family and friends. They are are great for table prizes, gifts for teachers, nursing home gifts, bazaars, favors, etc.

Directions

  1. Cut the doll in half. Remove the body stuffing but leave the head arms and legs stuffed.
  2. Glue the the doll head to the body of the air freshener.Make certain the head is firmly attached.
  3. Glue the legs to the bottom of the air freshener.
  4. Open the air freshener. Glue a row of lace to the lower edge. Leave 1/4" of the lower edge free of lace to allow the freshener to be closed. You can add additional rows if desired. While you glue, gather or pleat the lace to add fullness.
  5. Gather your piece of fabic approx.1/4" from the top. Glue this dress around the doll just under her arms. Glue a broom to one of the hands
Materials

Gel Air Freshener

Small Craft doll

(3" to 10" dolls - price range 50 to 99 )

12" of Lace, 4" x 16"fabric, glue gun, small craft broom, pinking shears optional
This craft is a great way to use scraps of fabric and lace, the amount of pleating or gathering determines the length of lace or fabric.
Greenlizzy used black cotton for the dress and teal lace..

Tips:

  • To gather the fabric or lace, loosely stitch a piece of thread thourgh the fabric. Pull the fabric over the thread to create the desired fullness. If you are an expert with the glue gun you can gather the fabric as you glue. No need to use thread.
  • When the gel dries, add a new one. Remove the top from your Winnie Doll and remove the top from a new air freshener. Pull off the dry gel and discard. Gently slip the fresh gel off of the new freshener. Slide the gel onto the Annie Doll post. Replace Annie's head. Voila!
A fresh new Witch.
